The SUMCHI Journal is the companion to your Level1 practice — a six-week guided journey through Flow, Rhythm, Breathe, Light, Vibrations and #FeelHerd.

Each week gives you a theme, the strokes to focus on, and observation sheets for the two sessions you do with your horse. Between sessions, you map what you notice: where your horse self-grooms, where he poultices, where he rolls and which side he presses, how he gets up, whether he can shake it out through his whole body. Week by week those notes build into a real picture of your horse — and of your hands.

Made for print, or for your tablet. The journal is laid out at 176 × 250 mm and prints beautifully, or open it on a tablet and write straight onto the page.

Do I need a Sumchi6 to use the journal? Yes. The journal follows the Level1 Stroke Routine, so it is built around working with your Sumchi6.

Do I need the Foundations of SUMCHI book? It is recommended. The book explains the strokes and the Muscle Hubs. The journal is where you record what you see when you use them.

Can I print it? Yes, printing for your own use is included. Print at 100%, no scaling.

Is there a members' price? Yes. SUMCHI members pay $10, and the code is in the members' feed on Patreon.

Returns Policy

If you need to return or exchange an item, we are here to assist you! You can return your product for a refund to the original payment method, provided it is in the same condition that you received it—unused and in its original packaging. To initiate a return, please contact us at beth@sumchi.com with your receipt or proof of purchase.

All Sumchi6 products, including the Sumchi6 HEART, Sumchi6 DIAMOND, and the Sumchi6 Leather Pouch, are covered by a six-week warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty applies solely to defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damages resulting from accidents, misuse, or any modifications to the product, nor does it cover issues arising from dropping the product.

To claim a warranty, customers are required to provide proof of purchase and a description of the defect. Sumchi reserves the right to repair or replace the defective product with a new or equivalent product.
